SnowRob

‘That would be nice. But you can’t give all that up. Certainly not for me. If I can have you here for a day or two more, that will be fantastic. You’ve already given me far more than I ever dreamt.’
Rob kissed her neck more.
‘I’m getting quite a lot back as well. No one’s made me feel like this before.’
He let her go then so that she could finish getting dinner. He sat at the kitchen table and watched her. A few things were going through his mind.
‘You said you’re a writer. So where do you go to write?’ He ran his hand through his hair.
‘Nowhere. I have a desk upstairs, and a lap top. I go down to the beach sometime in the summer, or the garden.’
‘So you can write anywhere?’
‘In theory. As long as I have my lap top and my mobile phone.’ She still had her back to him. ‘And Wifi is a godsend. My agent emails me rather that calling.’
‘Humm.’ Rob ran the thought through his mind again.
‘Here we go. Nothing special I’m afraid, but it should be edible.’ Claire smiled and handed him a plate.
‘Thanks.’ He took the plate and waited for her to settle.
While they ate he asked her all sorts of things about her life. What her other commitments were, about her parents.
‘Ok, enough about me!’ She said at last and laughed. ‘Your life is way more exciting than mine!’
‘Not all the time. It’s not all film sets and red carpet stuff. Loads of boring meetings, like the ones I should be going to this week. I’m rather glad I’m going to miss them. And living in a hotel can be miserable.’
‘Have you never thought of renting a flat or something?’
‘I hate being on my own. With a hotel at least there are people around all the time. If I’m on my own too much I think too much. I might though, if I had someone to share a place with.’
‘I can think of several girls who would love that job!’ She laughed. She gathered the dishes up and went back to the sink.
‘One would do. Although I’m guessing I’d be hard to live with.’ He got up and went to help her.
‘Wow. A list Hollywood stars can wash up can they?’ She grinned.
‘When we’re allowed.’ He laughed. ‘Not that my domestic skills extend very far! One reason I’d be a pain to live with.’
‘But your other skills make up for it.’ Oh shit had she just said that out loud? She blushed and was glad of the bad light.
‘And what other skills would they be?’ He abandoned the plate he was drying and wound his arms around her. Rob pushed his hands under her jumper onto her warm skin and started stroking her back.
‘Umm...Well that for one.’
‘What about you? How easy would you be to live with?’ He smiled and started to kiss her jaw line.
‘No...idea.’ She gasped. Her head was swimming again. And when he pulled her close and ran a finger all the way down her spine she gave a whimper.
‘You’re so responsive.’ Rob hummed. She was. All he was doing was kissing her and touching her back and she was quivering in his arms.
‘Can we leave all this till the morning?’ He nodded to the sink of dishes. ‘I’d like to go to bed.’
‘Oh yes. Um, sorry. I need to make the spare bed up for you.’ She tried to pull away to go and sort out the spare room.
‘Well I wasn’t planning on sleeping just yet. And...umm...what’s wrong with your bed?’ He held her closer and kissed her full on the lips.
‘My...bed...is...nice.’ She said between kisses.
‘Good. Take me there. Take me to bed.’
Claire’s heart was pounding. He’d just asked her to take him to bed? She bit her lip and watched him do the hair thing. His eyes were dancing over her. She remembered everything they had already done. Her knees trembled at the thought of doing it all again. She took his hand and led him upstairs.
‘You’re trembling again. This really means that much to you?’ He said in wonder. Claire just nodded and chewed her lip more. The thoughts in his head started to join up, he nodded to himself. He smiled down at her and lightly touched her cheek.
